The P.S. Government Degree College, Penukonda has a spacious library and it is automated, previously SOUL 2.0 (Software for University Libraries) was used as ILMS, recently in the month of January 2024 it was upgraded to SOUL 3.0. and subscribed for N-list. The new college library which is also called as KIA Library Block is built in 3600 Sq.Ft area with a seating capacity of 50. The Library has 5 Computers to access E-resources. The KIA Library Block is working from 10.00 A.M to 5.00 P.M, during the examination times it works from 9.00 A.M To 6.00 P.M. The library has a good collection of Books, in the discipline of Arts, Science and Commerce and in addition to, it has good reference books and also books for competitive examination. The Library has acollection of 17770 + books. The library Subscribes to N-LIST of Inflibnet to access E-Journals and E-Books, all the Faculty and Students are registered. Few Departments are maintaining Departmental Libraries for immediate reference and are also issuing books to the students.
The Library conducts orientation Programme for I Year students at the beginning of the Academic year and orient the students how to use the library and its resources. The Library also celebrate National Library Week Celebrations every year from Nov-14th to 20th to encourage and attract the students to the library. Library conducts Essay Writing Competition, Book Exhibition and also arrange Special talks from an eminent person. Prizes will be distributed to winners. The Library has the following list of journals 1. Management Accountant 2. Journal of Accounting & Finance 3. Journal of Zoological Research 4. Indian Journal of Chemical Technology 5. Sahitya Amrut (Hindi). 10. Kerala Jyothi. In addition to this the magazines available in the library are 1. Yojana (Eng & Tel) 2. Vivek 3. Vijetha Competitions 5. New India Samachar. 6. Ramakrishna Prabha.
In addition to the above, 02 Daily newspapers are being subscribed 01. Telugu and 01 English . Nearly 30 to 40 students visit the library every day and utilize the resources. Faculty also visit the library and make use of library resources. View
